Pahang Trip: Turtles, Sunrise, Sea-of-clouds & Waterfall (23 - 25 Jun, Fri night - Sun)

Join us on this 2D3N trip where we will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting activities such as releasing baby turtles into the sea, marvelling at sea-of-clouds, watching sunrise on two mornings (one on hilltop & another from the beach), exploring a vast cave, enjoying waterfalls, and more.
We will be staying in a seaside hotel with sandy beach and infinity view of South China Sea.
The months of May through September mark the sea turtles' nesting season. With turtle landings along the shores of Terengganu and Pahang, we may even have the chance to witness these magnificent creatures laying eggs.
Meeting time and place: 8:45pm at Jurong East MRT.

i) Reach Sungai Lembing town before dawn. We will do a 30-45mins hike up the renowned Panorama Hill.
ii) Watch sunrise on the hilltop as we enjoy the morning breeze. During first light, you may get to enjoy the unique Sea-of-Clouds scenery beneath the hill.
iii) Descend the hill. Breakfast at own expense. Then explore the Sungai Lembing town for attractions such as the Hanging Bridge and the Sungai Lembing Tin Museum (RM5 entrance fee).
iv) Proceed to Charas Cave - a vast limestone cave that houses a reclining Buddha statue at the cave-end. Around noon, a beam of light will shine through a small hole in the cave's ceiling and illuminate the Buddha statue's face, creating a breathtaking sight. Contribution fee is RM2.
v) Lunch at own expense. Then proceed to Cherating Turtle Sanctuary if time permits. No entrance fee.
vi) Check in hotel and rest.
vii) In evening, those who are keen may proceed with the coach to Terengganu state to experience releasing baby turtles to the sea. RM45. If a female turtle survives to adulthood, she may return to that beach for nesting a few decades later. Turtles have the unique ability to find the specific beach where they were born, in turn, to lay their eggs.
viii) Dinner at own expense.
ix) If there is turtle landing that night, we will have the opportunity to watch it laying eggs. RM65. Both the turtles-releasing and watching activities are run by conservationists. There may be a night duty tipping of about RM5/participant for guide and driver.

Fireflies River Cruise, Go Kart & JB Leisure (Sat, 12 Aug)
Join us for a 1-day trip to Johor where you can enjoy sightseeing, view fireflies on boat, leisure in JB and get to know more friends.
Meeting time and place: 7:45am at Jurong East MRT.
Cost: $37.50 to $75. Will be $37.50 for those with sufficient Spark Connections credits. After your registration and if there is a slot, we will advise you with the next step.
For those who are not using credits, it will be $65.
Package includes:

- Fireflies viewing by boat
- transport from M'sia Custom onwards, and return to SG.
The above package excludes tipping for driver, which is $2 per participant.

Itinerary (subject to change)
i) 7:45am: meet at Jurong East MRT. Then take bus CW3 at $5 by ez-link card. By taking a public bus, we may reach Malaysia custom faster.
ii) Custom clearance via Tuas Second Link Checkpoint. Then breakfast in JB, at own expense.
iii) Proceed for a Go Kart ride. Costs range from RM42 to RM70, depending on which site we are going to. The former is a larger site with a more adventurous ride, while the latter is a new site with better facilities. The latter site requires riders to wear covered shoes and balaclava. Organiser can provide a balaclava at RM5 in case you need it.
iv) If time permits, we may go bowling. For those who are keen, seat rotations will be conducted in the coach for you to interact with different participants.
v) Shopping and own lunch in a large mall.
vi) Go sightseeing at Cappadocia Ulu Tiram. This instagrammable site has a unique rock formation and the locals named it after the Cappadocia of Turkey.
vii) Proceed to Kota Tinggi. We will have dinner either in a restaurant in town or at a leisure farm. For the latter, there are small animals for viewing and you can experience the release of Sky Lanterns.
viii) After sunset, board the boat for Fireflies viewing. As we cruise along the riverbank, keep your eyes peeled for the mesmerising clusters of fireflies that light up the night like twinkling Christmas trees.
ix) Around 10pm: back in Singapore via Second Link. Dropoff at Jurong East MRT and then Newton MRT.

Weekend to Port Dickson, Water Resort, & Seremban Tour (19 - 20 Aug, Sat-Sun)

Join us for a memorable trip to Port Dickson (PD), a coastal district in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Facing the Straits of Malacca, PD is well-known for its sandy beaches. We will be staying in Lexis Hibiscus, a 5-Star resort featuring hundreds of overwater villas built on stilts over the sea, in the shape of a huge Hibiscus flower. Every room has its own private pool, sauna, balcony, and a floor-glass panel to view the sea below.
For those who are keen, seat rotations will be conducted to allow you to interact with different participants during the trip. On the second day, we will go Seremban for popular food, hiking and shopping.
Meeting time and place: 7:45am at Jurong East MRT.

v) Visit Cape Rachado. This hilly cape is a gazetted wildlife sanctuary, and is well known for a historical lighthouse at summit. Enjoy nice view of Straits of Malacca from the summit. It's an easy hike for a healthy person. For those who are not joining the hike, you can wait for us at the foot of the hill.
vi) Check in Lexis Hibiscus resort.
vii) We can gather to play beach games, banana boat, or telematches. You may also have own activities such as cycling, ATV ride, watersports, enjoy sunset sceneries, explore the surroundings, and even a helicopter tour.
viii) In evening, proceed to a nearby town for own dinner.
ix) Return to resort. Night activities includes mingling, own leisure, chill out by the beach, watch fire performance, and more.
Day 2:
i) Watch sunrise if you are keen. Breakfast in resort (included). Own leisure.
ii) Checkout resort. Proceed to Seremban, the capital of Negeri Sembilan state.
iii) Lunch at own expense. You may consider going to a restaurant well-known for its big curry chicken bun. There are other food outlets too.
iv) Visit a local product outlet which has the popular Seremban's Siew Pau.
v) For those who are adventurous, you may consider going hiking at Bukit Kepayang. Enjoy nice view of Seremban at hilltop. The hike to hilltop is about 25mins, with some rather steep slopes.
vi) For those not going hiking, you may go shopping at a large mall.
vi) Depart Seremban. Stopover for dinner at Yong Peng, own expense.
vii) Around 9:30pm: back in Singapore via Second Link. Dropoff at Jurong East MRT and Newton MRT.
